BuildCrate is a month-to-month software subscription. There is no lock-in contract: you can cancel at any time and you will not be billed again.
1. Cancellation
Cancel any time from Settings, Manage billing. Cancellation stops all future renewals immediately. You keep full access until the end of the current billing period that you have already paid for.
2. Refunds
BuildCrate does not offer refunds on paid billing periods. Once a charge has been processed for a given month or year, that period is non-refundable. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
If you believe you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after a cancellation was confirmed), email team@buildcrate.co from the address on your account with the subject "Billing enquiry" and we will investigate and resolve legitimate billing errors.
3. Founding member pricing
Founding-member pricing is locked for the life of an unbroken subscription. If you cancel and later re-subscribe, you pay the current public price at the time of re-subscription.
4. Chargebacks
Please email us first. Filing a chargeback without contacting us results in automatic, permanent termination of access.
5. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any non-excludable consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law. BuildCrate complies with the ACL.
6. Shopify is a separate service
BuildCrate is an independent software platform built for Shopify merchants. Your BuildCrate subscription is billed by us and is entirely separate from any Shopify subscription, Shopify app charges, or third-party tooling. We cannot refund or cancel any Shopify charges; those must be managed inside your Shopify account.
